Funding for Sports in Scotland down by 20% – what impact will it have on Scottish Football Funding?
It was announced last week that funding through Sport Scotland would be reduced by a massive 20% in the year ahead. This has cause a great amount of concern against the smaller sporting bodies who have come to rely on such funding. However, it remains uncertain if this reduction will have any impact on football. Here we start to explore what football gets form the Scottish Government and more importantly what the Government expects back.
Over the course of the next few months we will be looking at the various funding streams that are available to the SFA / SPFL from the Scottish Government and evaluated whether they are good value for money. If you would like to be involved in this research please contact us.
