Maxwell looking good for the top job
With a string of positive endorsements from those in the game it looks as if the popular choice for new CEO to replace the departed Regan is Partick Thistle CEO Ian Maxwell. Several of us at the SFSA including one of our Co Founders have dealt with him over the past few years and we do believe that he would be a popular choice for fans of all clubs. As a former player and coach he understands that side of the game and his commercial and fans affairs efforts at Firhill have not gone unnoticed too. He certainly passes the test that Regan failed – for having been to Forfar on a wet Tuesday night in January! Our view is that if he were to get the job it would be great news for football supporters as he really appreciates their concerns and issues. We have to hope that the structures around him also change to reflect the need for reform throughout the game. In one poll it seems he has 80% of fans saying he should get the job.
