MSP’s to vote today on the Offensive Behaviour Act

Date: 25th January 2018

Simon Barrow, Chair of the Scottish Football Supporters Association, said: “The majority of fans view the current legislation, despite its good intentions, as having had an unhelpful impact on their relationship with the police. We would like to see new ways of bringing fans, police and clubs together to tackle offensive behaviour. We have already expressed our willingness to work with the Scottish Government and Police Scotland on proposals that will drive Policing by Community Consent at football matches.”
