Date: 25th June 2021

The SFSA are thrilled to announce that Steve Parker has joined the SFSA and will be working with us to create original pieces that will support our upcoming projects and merchandise designs. You will have seen Steve’s work featured already, as his brilliant banner displaying some of Scotland’s greats was used in our latest Annual Conference.

Working under the tagline of ‘SPARKIUS’, Steve Parker creates original artwork featuring legendary players, memorable teams and magical footballing moments.

His work has been commissioned by a number of sports clubs and organisations around the world including The European Tour, Moto GP, The Oval, Hibernian FC, FC Schalke 04, Oldham Athletic AFC, Derbyshire County Cricket Club and more.

Steve’s artwork career took off after creating a collection of Wolves FC images in 2016. “Having not put pen to paper since my Art College days, I decided have a crack at creating some football images and the feedback was surprisingly positive” explained Steve.

“After the artwork was released, I was invited down to The Oval and asked to create a collection of images to celebrate their Greatest XI Players and, since then, I’ve been lucky to have worked with some fantastic sports organisations.

“My work has been commissioned for an eclectic mix of uses including Stadium Murals, Merchandise and Social Media Campaigns and some of the projects have been really interesting to work on. In 2020, I was given the task of recreating the European Ryder Cup Team as Vikings and Medieval Knights!”

Steve has created artwork for a number of Scottish football clubs and his 2016 Scottish Cup Final artwork was recently used as Official Merchandise by Hibernian FC. Hib’s Head of Brand & Marketing, Greg McKewan commented “Steve created an image of our Scottish Cup win in 2016 and it was fantastic! He managed to capture so much in his design, you could spend ages looking over it and the memories all came flooding back”.

Speaking on the partnership with the SFSA, Steve said “Working for the SFSA is a bit of a dream come true for me. The team create some fantastic content and I’m looking forward to working on some really interesting projects together”.
