THE REVIEW OF THE GAME - HELP US TO TAKE ACTION NOW!

Send us your nominations for Fan of the Year 2020!

Date: 11th December 2020

As Scotland’s national fans organisation, we at the SFSA, feel that we have a duty to promote our game to the very best of our ability by showcasing all of its positive aspects that cause us to follow our teams week in week out, come rain or come shine.

It is for this reason that since 2016 we have provided Scottish supporters with the opportunity to celebrate everything that is great about the game we love, by running Scotland’s annual National Fan’s Awards. These awards have been a great success with both SFSA members and non-members alike jumping at the chance, in their thousands, to vote for their desired winners in a number of categories.

There is no doubt that 2020 has been a tough year for everyone, with many experiencing unprecedented disruption to numerous aspects of their lives. Scottish football has been no exception, and as a result we have taken the difficult decision to scale back our 2020 Fan Awards.

2020’s awards will consist of just one category, Fan of the year. During these tough times supporters have rallied around their clubs and their communities, creating some inspiring stories in the process. Stories that remind us just why it is that we love “the beautiful game”.

Therefore, we are asking supporters to nominate fellow supporters that they feel are deserving of the award. Nominations will then be put to our independent panel of judges, consisting of Twitter sensation Old Firm Facts, BBC Off the Ball’s Stuart Cosgrove and the Scottish Daily Mail’s Stephen McGowan. The winner will then receive their unique award, provided by our partners Caithness Glass.

Do you know a supporter that has been active in their club or community during the Covid-19 pandemic? Can you think of something remarkable that has been achieved recently by a supporter of your club? If so, then we have to hear about it! The more unique the better!

To nominate a fellow supporter, all you need to do is email paddy@scottishfsa.orgwith your nomination’s name (and contact details if possible), supported club and an explanation as to why you feel they deserve to win the award. Any additional pictures are more than welcome!
