SFSA Research – Rising Cost of Living Consultation

Date: 3rd September 2022

With the recent cost of living crisis hitting new levels, more concerns arise for how it is affecting football fans abilities to attend football matches home and away.

Furthermore, with inflation forecast to hit 13% and energy costs to rise in October and January, we felt that it was important to consult with supporters in order to correctly gauge the level of concern and identify specific actions which the footballing authorities should look to take.

We have recently shown our support for the #TwentyisPlenty campaign that is aiming to cap away fan ticket prices at £20, and we hope this research will add further evidence to our arguments that fans need to be supported and protected to keep football afloat during this crisis.

We have now released the survey which is split into 4 sections, and should take no more than 5 minutes to complete.

Any support by participating and spreading awareness about the research is greatly appreciated.
