Following some recent comment and speculation on social media, we want to be clear that our major partners in launching the results of our benchmarking survey of Scottish football are a team of highly respected academics from Germany, plus backers from right across the game here.

We had thought that an additional collaboration with Two Point One would be possible, but that turns out not to be the case for reasons on both sides. We’re sorry for any miscommunication or misunderstanding on this.

The SFSA is about bringing fans together from all corners of Scottish football to help improve the game we all love so much.   We all have a common interest in ensuring that the game is run for the benefit of us all and with our involvement.

There are over 70,000 members of the SFSA now and our recent survey – the first independent one carried into Scottish football – saw almost 16,500 fans contribute to it.  With this level of involvement of supporters we begin to have a real voice in the game in Scotland.

The huge growth in membership and affiliation for the SFSA shows that Scottish football fans want to come together to improve and reform the game which matters to all of us.

We’re really excited about the findings from the survey and research and hope they mark the beginning of a constructive dialogue into making improvements to the game in Scotland.

The launch of our survey results next week will be another important step in that direction. Do come and be part of it!
