The Scottish Fitba Gazetteer
Introduction to our journey and the opportunity to be involved!
The SFSA is working on another book following the successful fans collaboration that brought us Back o’ the net in 2023
So what is a Gazetteer and what has it to do with Scottish Fitba?
A gazetteer is a geographical dictionary or directory used in conjunction with a map or atlas. It typically contains information concerning the geographical makeup, social statistics and physical features of a country, region, or continent. According to our friends at Wikipedia.
As a fans organisation we deal with fans from across the country and have often come across football facts and trivia both obscure and obvious that make up our Scottish football landscape.
So here is your opportunity to participate and enjoy the journey across our country as we bring you Scotland’s very own Fitba Gazetteer. Just tell us what where and why a certain place deserves mention in our unique guide to Scottish Football and if possible send us a photo too. Whether it was where Kenny Dalglish played his first game of five a sides or where Denis Law went to school we want to know what you think you should be included in the book!
Send details to paulgoodwin@scottishfsa.org or call 07702 252519
