SFSA BLUE PLAQUES LAUNCH FIND OUT MORE
Date: 17th January 2025
We continue to support a call for the modernisation of football governance in Scotland
There has been considerable debate since the most recent election at Westminster about the Football Governance Bill . Of course. we are all aware that that with a Holyrood election in May 2026 many of the political parties here in Scotland will be following the debates very closely.
As an organisation, we have been campaigning for fans rights and a call for openness, transparency and accountability from the football authorities for nearly 10 years. You will be able to see our proposal that we debated at Holyrood here https://scottishfsa.org/the-review-of-the-game/
There has been two Round Table meetings held at Holyrood chaired by Maree Todd MSP, our Sports Minister, since that debate. We will update our members on what has happened in the coming weeks.
In the meantime we watch closely what is happening across the border and will vigorously campaign to ensure that Scottish Football Fans do not miss out on what is an essential and long overdue reform of our game.
