Date: 10th February 2026
Football during the Second World War was a huge morale booster and on 22 April 1944 a famous match took place at Hampden Park – England vs Scotland, with General Montgomery (the famous Allied commander) in attendance. 82 years later his grandson Henry is visiting Hampden Park as part of a podcast series and is keen to speak to people who as children may have attended that very match or other matches at Hampden Park during the war.
