Scotland women’s team a treat to watch – Denis Frize

What a treat it was to watch the women’s Scotland team the other night.

 

Right from the start their passing meaningful and accurate, just as if they had learned from the Japanese men visitors.

 

Even going a goal down they showed verve and resilience against a Belgian team ranked above them.

 

Even losing their star midfielder (kicked off the park) was not seen as a handy excuse for lack of success.

 

In the second half they too k comman of play crossing, knowing exactly the next player would be. What a credit to their coach.

 

And the Australian coach herself, a born communicator, a person of personality, taking the pundits. the players and the viewers. with her

 

Eventually les Belgiques were actually left floundering and in the last minute virtue was its own reward They  scored a goal, leaving them top of their world cup qualifying league.

 

They left the field obviously bursting with justifiable pride

 

I look forward to watching them again this Friday.
