Key points for you:
- Doors open at 7pm, please make sure you are seated no later than 745pm
- Email any dietary requirements by 9pm on Thursday 27th August to Lorna at torbrexmarketing@gmail.com
- Please bring cash on the night for participation in events to win signed football memorabilia
Event Purpose(s)
- To launch the concept for the city to honour its greatest football players, coaches and managers – www.stirlinghalloffame.co.uk
- Fundraise to create a physical tourist attraction at Forthbank stadium and a football walking tour of the city around key spots significant to the sport, to fund recognition points and memorials to key local football legends
- To launch The Jimmy Bone book written by Ben Ramage
- To “induct” the first 5 players into the Stirling Football Hall of Fame
Event timings
General admittance 7.00pm doors open – the bar will be open and you can make your way to your tables. Note only those who have purchased a full table will have a table name all other guest have free seating.
VIP admittance please be ready to make sure you way to the VIP area at 7pm VIP’s will be invited upstairs for drinks and to mingle with star Guests Duncan Ferguson, Dave McPherson, Dick Campbell, our host Richard Gordon and the Lord Provost Rosemary Fraser – VIP’s will include family members of the players being inducted . VIP guests will move to your dinner tables at 7.30pm.
7.45pm Official welcome and confirmation of running order from Richard Gordon our host – reminder re Heads and Tails envelopes and entries will be collected after dinner – £10 entry
2 course dinner is served followed by tea coffee and fancies

9.00pm Hall of Fame background and awards
- Richard Gordon will have a quick chat with Paul Goodwin to discuss the Stirling Hall of fame concept and ambitions
- Our Lord Provost Councillor Rosemary Hunter will present awards to our first Hall of Fame members or their representative.
- Jimmy Ryan collected by his sister Margaret Monteith
- Billy Bremner collected by his daughter Amanda
- Alex Smith collected by friend Dick Campbell
- Jimmy Bone collected by his son David Bone and his wife Shiona Bone
Jimmy Bone Book launch Richard is joined on stage by Ben Ramage (author of Bone Idol) and Dick Campbell (Jimmy’s closest pal)
The traditional game of Heads or Tails£10 entry (questions about the inductees) Prize is a Signed John McGinn Print and a malt whisky runners up prize.
Half time break – Book on sale in the Foyer, fill your glasses 9.45 /50
10pm Second Half
- 2 Duncan Ferguson Shirts to be auctioned and presented by Duncan to the winners –
- Bid on a framed Scotland shirt signed by Duncan.
- Bid on a framed Rangers shirt signed by Duncan
Winners will have the opportunity to have their photo taken with Duncan at presentation at the end of the evening.
- Richard is joined on stage by Duncan Ferguson for an interview followed by a Q&A
- Final whistle 11pm – but allow for Extra Time!

- VIP area reserved for families of award winners and guest who purchase the VIP package
- We will have a dinner service served to the table all drinks orders will be taken at the bar – please try to be respectful of our speakers and keep noise to a minimum when visiting the bar
- An event photographer and film crew will be capturing the event. If you do not wish to be featured, please advise the crew. Professional photos will be free to download after the event, but we also encourage you to take and share your own. You can tag us @scottishfsa
