YOU CAN’T EXPORT PASSION – #KeepFootballHome FSE Campaign

We have over the years seen attempts to play Scottish Premiership matches in the USA. At they time of these “suggestions” by clubs our members universally rejected the notion that our games are exported. Now the FSE have seen worrying trends elsewhere and are campaigning to stop this. The SFSA have pledged our support.

YOU CAN’T EXPORT PASSION – #KeepFootballHome

We are calling on supporters’ groups across Europe to join forces in opposing proposals from La Liga and Serie A to stage regular league matches abroad — taking clubs away from their home communities — and the wider trend towards the deterritorialisation of football. Strength in numbers is key. Solidarity across Europe is the only way to challenge these moves before they irreversibly damage football. Once this is approved, there will be no way back. And ultimately, every fan base will be at risk. Even if your team isn’t affected today, tomorrow it could be as the number of games, leagues and international tournaments affected will soon spiral out of control. It’s a matter of weeks, possibly days, before a decision is made. We need supporters to rally together to spread this statement as far and wide as possible to send the message loud and clear.
