“BOY SPEEDS BY ALL THE ACTION”. GREENOCK MORTON v Ayr United by Home of Football
LAST CHRISTMAS…i get to go ‘back’ to Cappielow, scene of my best ever picture (“Cry For Home”) taken at the bus-stop outside. I stand outside again, waiting for…I don’t know what.
Then this…a trail of youngish boys on scooters all scooting past the gates of the match. Police following in a van. Doesn’t amount to much.
I am slightly saddened that the boys might never ‘go to the match’, anymore. That in decades to come this occasion might not be on offer.
